Client’s Goal 

To upgrade a builder-grade home with some modern finishes and redesign the existing floor space. 

Points of Interest 

• The staircase was elevated with this redesign!  Going with a paint and stain grade staircase gave it depth, and adding a substantial post made the entry grander 

• The glass along the side of the staircase as opposed to doing a railing with spindles was a great addition; it allows natural light in from the front door sidelights and transom and makes the dining area seem larger since there is no definitive break in the room, which would happen with a full wall or railing with spindles
